Karoline Laier (born Kumst)

  • Born in Erfurt in 1987
  • Study of Guitar Play at the University for Music "FRANZ LISZT", Weimar with Prof. Jürgen Rost; 2013 concert exam graduation with Prof. Thomas Müller-Pering at the University of Arts in Berlin
  • Several concerts as soloist, among others numerous performances of solo concerts with the Philharmonic Orchestra Erfurt and the Thuringian Syphonic Orchestra Rudolstadt/Saalfeld
  • Concerts lead hear through Europe, the USA, Japan and Brazil
  • recording by radio Deutschlandfunk, Deuschland Radio Kultur, NDR and MDR
  • Laureate of national and international competitions e. g.:
    • 2000, 2002 and 2004 - every year 1st prize at the "Roland-Zimmer-Wettbewerb" in Glauchau/Sachs
    • 2001 - 1st prize at International „Anna-Amalia-Gitarrenwettbewerb“ in Weimar (AG till 13 years)
    • 2003 - 1st prize at "Bundeswettbewerb Jugend-musiziert“ (solo)
    • 2004 - 3rd prize at "European Youthcompetition „Andrés Segovia“ in Velbert
    • 2005 - 1st prize at „Heinrich-Albert-Guitarcompetition“ in Gauting/München
    • 2006 - 3rd prize at International Guitarcompetition Berlin
    • 2007 - 3rd prize at International „Anna-Amalia-Guitarcompetition“ (AG 17-20 years)
    • 2008 - 2nd prize at International Guitar Festival Rust (Austria)
    • 2010 - scholarship at the"National German Music Competition" (Deutscher Musikwettbewerb) in Bonn, admission to the national choice of concerts by young artists
    • 2010 - 2nd prize at "International-Gerhard-Vogt-Chambermusic-Competition" in Hammelburg (with Duo Consensus)
  • 2004 and 2005 stipendiary of the Ministry of Culture in Thüringen, 2006 Sparkassenstiftung Erfurt
  • Participation in Master Courses among others with Leo Brouwer, David Russel, Aniello Desiderio, Carlo Marchione, Thomas Müller-Pering and Sdrjan Tošić
